On Sunday, June 7, 2015, Father Rudy Breunig, S.T. celebrated his Golden Jubilee Mass — celebrating 50 years of priesthood — at St. Norbert Parish, Roxbury, Wisconsin. He was ordained a priest on June 1, 1965 in Winchester, Virginia and said his first Mass on June 6th at his home parish, the site of the Jubilee Celebration. He chose to use the saying ‘A Blessed Adventure’ on his celebration program and spoke of his years of priestly service as a ‘Blessed Adventure.’

Fr. Rudy served in the Diocese of Juneau for five years in the early 1980’s. During that time he developed many friendships that persisted over the years and many of those friends, now scattered across the country, gathered in Wisconsin in secret to surprise Fr Rudy for his 50th Year Celebration. Adding to that, Sister Margaret McCarthy, B.V.M. who also served in the Diocese of Juneau during Fr. Rudy’s tenure, took a detour on her trip home to Ireland to join the celebration. It was a weekend of celebration with stories, memories and renewed friendships. Fr. Rudy is now retired and living in Maryland. His address is:

Fr. Judd Missionary Cenacle
1733 Metzerott Rd.
Adelphi, MD 20783
