Post Synodal Pastoral Letter released for Pentecost Sunday
During the Vigil Mass of Pentecost Sunday, Bishop Edward Burns signed the Post Synodal Pastoral Letter for the Diocese of Juneau. The letter itself reviews the Year of Faith and the Diocesan Synod, outlining the priorities that came forth from the Synod. The purpose of the Letter, “To Know, Love and Serve Jesus Christ through His Body — the Church,” is to give a sense of the direction of pastoral planning and policies for the Diocese, focusing especially on a renewed emphasis on evangelization and catechesis, in the context of the call of the Church for a New Evangelization.
