Fr. Andrew Sensenig, OMI, appointed as pastor of Sitka parish

APPOINTMENT OF FR. ANDREW SENSENIG, OMI, AS PASTOR OF ST. GREGORY NAZIANZEN PARISH IN SITKA

JUNEAU, AK —  Bishop Edward J. Burns announced today that he is appointing Fr. Andrew Sensenig, a missionary priest of the Order of Mary Immaculate (OMI) as the pastor of St. Gregory Nazianzen parish in Sitka. His appointment is for six years. Fr. Sensenig will be taking the place of the previous pastor, Fr. James Blaney OMI, who died last December in Sitka after a short illness.

Fr. Sensenig has previously served in the Archdiocese of Anchorage at Our Lady of the Angels parish in Kenai. He will assume pastoral responsibility for St. Gregory’s in mid-July and be formally installed as pastor in late August.
